Although at times of Magna Grecia one of  the most important Italian place where Pythagoras (Crotone) stayed –  among others –  today a region with beautiful nature, mountain massifs and virgin beaches still without any major infrastructure. Calabria will enchant you with its kindness, courtesy and lots of home-made dishes, often very spicy: n’duja (pork and chilli pepper), chilli peppers  prepared in a plenty of ways, olive oil, bergamot and cedar citruses, excellent prepared swordfish, tartuffo di Pizzo (typical ice cream filled with truffles), white wine Ciro, this is just a part of the products that are worth to tasting. There are two coasts – Ionian with wide beaches that will never be overcrowded by tourists –  and Tyrrhenian – with white, romantic beaches lined with rocks.. When visiting, do not miss the so-called Calabria pearl – the town of Tropea or the nearby Eolie Islands.
